About the Green
the Green create a dynamic style of modern electronic music. Combining ethereal vocal work, ecclectic key, bass, and guitar instrumentation with turntablism and various beat backdrops ranging from trip beats to drum n bass and dancehall styles
'White Bear Balloon' is the newest offering from Texas based electronic trio 'the Green'. Written, recorded, mixed, and mastered between November 2008 and March 2009 at their dual studio locations, this collection of songs continues an evolution in the band's sound and a self-described return to their roots in vocal, piano, and guitar melody. Fused with the trademark trip beat making styles of Santiago, the Green's new music flirts with shades of Portishead, Pink Floyd, and the Doors, while the vocal work of Anne Noel continues to shine. In their third year together they have grown as a writing team and as performers, taking their unique musical chemistry and individual styles to the stage as well as the studio. In May of 2009 the Green added Turntablist/Beat Specialist DJ Cydenime to the group. Now as a trio, the Green are currently supporting their new release with brand new sets and venues in the mix.
